About the Role
Description
Consultant with 6-8 years of development experience in Client/Server environment with exposure to
database concepts & large-scale development / production support projects. P&C Insurance domain
experience is highly preferred. Should have good communication and a team member.
Primary Skills
ASP.NET,C#, SQL Server, REST Api’s, CICD familiarity (Github, Jenkins), JSON
Secondary Skills
DB2, Business Objects, SharePoint, JavaScript, React JS, Octopus deployment.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate detailed business, functional, and high-level technical requirements including recovery,
security, and audit.
Be able to analyze and understand technical designs based on user requirements and documents
Independently create/review technical design documents including data mappings to debug
production issues.
Coordinate with onshore team to improve the applications to run efficiently within the nightly
schedule window and meet business requirements.
Create and update technical documentation using high level technical specification documents
Conduct timely structured code reviews to ensure standards and systems interoperability
Create unit test plans and verify the unit test results are correct and functioning as designed
Work with QC Analyst to ensure modifications are appropriately tested by identifying key test
conditions, provide technical expertise on how to execute the cycle and assist with troubleshooting
testing issues.
Be able to coordinate and work with multiple development teams, outside vendors and other support
areas for making improvements in the nightly schedules or correcting bugs.
Assists / oversees production implementation according to the defined release schedules and
maintenance of the production, QA and test environments
Participate in Production Support transition meetings.
Other responsibilities include enhancement, performance tuning, support of the existing applications,
project coordination and prioritization.
Review and critique team members' code.
Experience
Requires at least 6+ years of hands on experience in above Primary Skills and Secondary Skills.
Troubleshooting, Programming, Organizational and Abstract Thinking Skills is a Must.
Excellent English oral and written communication skills
Willingness to work outside of normal business hours in order to coordinate with US based team -
Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field or a combination of related experience and
education.
